19 | Players plot how to protect Speakers likely to vote for them in the Council. They hold a symposium on military affairs in Lonelywood. Nimsy is saved from a bribery attempt. No action in Easthaven. Bragnar seeks to influence Crannoc, but does not learn why he is voting against the Army. He whispers only to Bragnar that "She'll kill them all". Merken protects Torvus in Caer Konig, intercepting an effort to blackmail him with a false dossier of his drunked antics. Johnny protects Speaker Masthew in Termalaine with Sparky, preventing an assassination attempt. Olivessa's bees are poisoned. |
18 | The group discusses their plans outside while a meal is taking place inside. Merken sends his bat familiar into the chamber to spy, relaying that Duvessa Shane is moving around talking to people, Dorbulgruf Shalescar is sitting alone avoiding interaction, and Nimsy Huddle is focused on Duvessa. Orion and Bragnar approach Avarice to question her motives, but she is evasive and uninterested. When Bragnar threatens Avarice and demands she choose a side, she casts a silence spell on him and walks away. |
18 | The speakers discuss their strategies for gaining support for the standing army proposal. Orion talks to Nimsy Huddle, who is troubled by past events but still trusts him. She expresses concerns about Duvessa potentially leading the army. Bragnar attempts to engage with Dorbulgruf Shalescar about a sea monster issue, but realizes it's a pretext. Merken suggests alternative leadership structures for the army to Nimsy. The group suspects Dorbulgruf Shalescar has a hidden political strategy and is intentionally noncommittal about their vote.. |
16 | Sahnar has not checked in, and Nimsy Huddle fears the worst, requesting that the players come to Lonelywood immediately. The group decides to travel there using a dog sled, which Merken successfully handles to make the journey faster. They arrive in Lonelywood in just over an hour, with Orion summoning his fey elk mount and Twiggy enjoying the ride on the sled. |
16 | Upon arriving back in Lonelywood from the forest, they find Speaker Nimsy Huddle at the Lonelywood#The Pick and Pint (formerly Ramshackle Inn), visibly upset. She confronts the group, questioning her leadership abilities and comparing herself to Duvessa. Orion suspects this is a result of political maneuvering, likely by Naerth Maxildannar and his associates. |
16 | The group discusses their encounter with Ravisin , who accused Duvessa Shane of killing her sister. They claim Ravisin cast moonlight and threatened to kill Ten-Towners, forcing them to fight. Nimsy Huddle confronts them with information from a supposed journal, suggesting they killed Bardley to keep secrets. The group denies this, claiming they're being manipulated. Nimsy Huddle decides not to arrest them but expresses her distrust. |
15 | "Hope this finds you warm and well. Things have been mostly quiet here in the woods, but we've got a bit of a problem. A group of goblins has been skulking around the outskirts of town—watching, sniffing around, not attacking yet, but making folks nervous. Could be nothing, could be something, and I’d rather not wait to find out. I know you’ve got your hands full, but if you could send one of those hirelings from the Bastion our way, I’d be grateful. Someone good at keeping quiet and watching from the shadows—goblins aren’t fond of being spied on themselves. If this is just some lost little band looking for shelter, we can deal with it. But if it’s something worse, I’d rather know now than later. I’ll make sure there’s a warm fire and a fresh baked cookie waiting for whoever you send. Stay safe, Merkén. And thanks.—Nimsy". |
15 | Players agree to loan Sahnar to Nimsy for goblin-scouting mission. |
11 | The Crew met with Garn the Hammer at Nimsy's House. Suggested they head to Caer Konig to learn more about the Duergar threat. He agreed to make some half-plate armor, a shortsword, and some claws, and offered an additional discount up to 50% on his special stock. |
10 | On the night of the feast, the crew arrived at Nimsy Huddle's house and saw about two dozen people milling about in the fenced garden outside the kitchen, where a bonfire roared between tables. |
10 | The Crew later met Kadroth, Warden of the Castle at Caer Dineval, but were interrupted in getting to know him by Nimsy giving a toast welcoming the guests and praising the heroes (see below for text) |
09 | The Crew visit Nimsy Huddle who offers to host a feast for them in the coming days and tells them they can use the Ramshackle Inn, which has fallen into disrepair, however they see fit. Bragnar decides to open a tavern called Lonelywood#The Pick and Pint (formerly Ramshackle Inn) in honor of fallen bard comrade, Bardley. |
08 | Merken stands staring at Bardley's body and the body of the Moose, barely comprehending what just happened.Orion emerges from the woods, having spoken to Nimsy Huddle and followed the tracks. A frail small human in some kind of tuxedo holding a scroll emerges from a purple vortex. |
07 | Arriving in Lonelywood, Merken and Bardley met Speaker Nimsy Huddle who gave them cookies and asked them to help deal with a menacing #WhiteMoose. He told them Iriskree Harrowhill at the Happy Skrimshander might be able to help prepare them. |
