18 The speakers meet to discuss the potential war threat, with Naerth Encounter arguing against preparing for war and suggesting devotion to Auril instead. Orion attempts to challenge Naerth's portrayal of the adventurers as outsiders but is shut down. Meanwhile, Johnny disguises himself as Naeeth and intercepts Edgra Durmoot on the road, deceiving her into believing she missed an early vote. The meeting breaks for a meal before additional speeches and voting, with the guests asked to step outside.
16 The group successfully convinces Oarus Masthew to support their cause after a tense confrontation with his militia. They defeat the remaining militia members and escort the speaker safely to Bryn Shander for the upcoming Council of Speakers vote. Orion has an ominous dream about Auril the Frost Maiden warning of a great danger approaching. The party rests and prepares for the critical council meeting the next day.
11 There is much literature about Auril. It is believed that while Auril is immortal. Iskra, a large bird-monster, helps her maintain the Everlasting Rhime. Some believe she rides it, though this has never been witnessed. Iskra is believed to be roc, and therefore mortal. At least two forms, ten-foot tall women and seven-foot tall bipedal owl. Some gods have three or four forms. Some people say she can take human form. She is believed to reside on the island of Solstice in the Sea of Moving Ice. It is a floating island of ice that moves around.
10 The Crew hired Danae Xotal as their tavernkeeper at Lonelywood#The Pick and Pint (formerly Ramshackle Inn), and Dzaan agreed to serve as a temporary librarian for a few weeks until they find someone for the permanent position. Dzaan was ordered to complete the prior week's research on Naerth Maxildannar and then turn to researching Auril the Frostmaiden.
